Harav Yechiel Abuchatzeira, shlit”a, Chief Rabbi of Ramle, Eretz Yisrael is arriving for a series of inspirational events. After the large turnout at previous years' events, Yad L’Achim has been inundated with requests for repeat visits and Rav Abuchatzeira, despite his busy schedule, will flying to the United States exclusively for these six events.
The events will be held in Brooklyn, the 5 Towns, Queens, Teaneck and Great Neck, from Wednesday May 21 through Wednesday 28 (see details below). Rav Abuchatzeira will speak on his personal involvement in Yad L’Achim's work as well as on "How to Elevate Your Mazel [Fortune] and Merit Happiness."
Harav Abuchatzeira, scion of the famous Abuchatzeira family whose blessings are sought by Jews around the world, will also be available afterwards for advice and personal blessings for Shidduchim Shalom Bayis, Parnassah, Children, Refuah Sheleimah and all individual matters in urgent need of a yeshua.
In addition, personal appointments can be arranged with the Rav during the day.
Rav Abuchatzeira has been involved in Yad L'Achim's rescue work in Eretz Yisrael for many years.
Also appearing at the events will be Shmuel M., Yad L'Achim's top rescue unit commander, who will be appearing in public for the first time.
Shmuel is the go-to man at Yad L'Achim whenever a Jewish girl must be rescued from an Arab village. No mission is executed before he's approved the plan, ensured that that there is proper coordination among the various units in the field, and, most importantly, verified that there is a fallback option in case things go wrong.
"It isn't enough to have information that the Arab husband is usually at work by 9 a.m.," says Shmuel, who has rich combat experience. "We must send a cover car, which, among other things, travels to the husband's workplace and ensures that he is there before we proceed to the house and rescue the wife and children. Things can and do go wrong on these missions and it's my responsibility to ensure that, with G-d's help, everyone gets out safely."
Shmuel will share details of some of his most daring rescue missions. No pictures will be allowed during his presentation, so as not to compromise Shmuel's ability to operate in future missions.
Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser, shlit”a, Rav of Khal Beis Yitzchak, will speak on how to protect yourself and your children's in today's world.
The final evening, May 28, will also feature Rabbi Eli Mansour, shlit”a, the dynamic Rav of Bet Yaakov in Brooklyn. Rav Mansour will speak on “The Secret to a Succesful Life”.
A documentary film will be aired that follows in the footsteps of a Yad L'Achim rescue team, from the planning stage, through the rescue itself and finally until the point where the mother and her children are home free.
Yad L'Achim, established over 60 years ago by Harav Sholom Dov Lifschitz, zt"l, fights on behalf of the Jewish people to bring back those who have fallen into the worst possible spiritual straits. These include Jews who have been lured by missionaries into cults and Jewish women who have married Arabs and are trapped with their children in Arab villages.
Yad L'Achim, whose motto is "We don't give up on even a single Jew," not only executes rescues, but rehabilitates Jewish women and their children and helps them rejoin the Jewish people. This involves renting a "safe house" for them, and providing basic necessities until the mother can find work. Yad L'Achim also offers social and psychological help and, most importantly, helps to enroll the children in yeshivos. (Since many of these Jewish children speak only Arabic, Yad L'Achim often hires tutors and mentors, to help them catch up and to serve as positive, Jewish father figures.)
There are follow-up Shabbatons that bring together groups of women who have been rescued from Arab villages, who can share their common experience, and bask in the glow of an inspiring Shabbos. Yad L'Achim runs a 24-hour hotline for Jewish women in Arab villages and their families, which responds immediately to the over 1,400 calls it receives annually.
These events are a not-to-be-missed opportunity to be inspired by Rav Abuchatzeira, who descends from the greatest kabbalists of recent generations, to learn from him the key to changing our mazel and meriting happiness and to receive personal blessings for our own personal needs.
It is a chance to go behind the scenes with the top commander at Yad L'Achim and hear never-before-told details on daring rescues.
It is a chance to hear Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser, shlit”a, Rav of Khal Beis Yitzchak, address one of the most pressing issues of our time: How to protect ourselves and our children in today's world.
And, in the final evening in Flatbush, it is a chance to hear the dynamic Rav Eli Mansour speak on “The Secret to a Successful Life.”
The evenings are geared for both men and women. Doors will open 7:30 p.m. and the program is set to begin at 8:15 p.m.
