Missionaries Hang Signs in North Calling on Jews to Convert to Christianity
November 05, 2024At a time when the residents of Israel, especially those in the north, are coping with ongoing threats to their lives and suffering the direct and indirect effects of incessant rocket fire, missionaries
are taking advantage of the situation to snare Jewish souls.
Recently, huge signs have been appearing on bridges and at main intersections in the north, in an attempt to take advantage of the fear and apprehension felt by residents to convey missionary messages, with the ultimate goal of converting Jews to Christianity.
“Repent and believe in the gospel,” the signs read, seeking to attract Jews in distress. Yad L’Achim, which is at the forefront of the battle against missionaries, is working relentlessly to get the signs taken down. Even as alarms sound warning people to take cover from incoming rockets and drones, the organization’s activists relentlessly
track down every sign and work to get it removed.
Yad L’Achim officials warn that missionaries in Israel and around the world view this difficult period for the people of Israel as an opportunity to connect Jews to Christianity. They are taking advantage of the crisis in the north, with residents either displaced from their homes or under rocket fire, to offer Jews a so-called spiritual answer, in the name of Christianity, that will allay their fears and concerns. “Yad L’Achim activists will not stand by and let this happen,” said an official of the counter-missionary organization. “We are acting with determination to get the signs removed and to protect residents from these attempts to harm them. Precisely now, when Jews are so vulnerable, we must act to protect our brothers from missionary
attempts to take advantage of their distress and lead them astray.”
